Muscle Physiology 101: Help a drowning student!

Confused, bewildered and more than a little frustrated. If any kind, generous soul is willing to share their notes/tips with me, I'll give you my first born son. Seriously. I'm using Guyton at the moment but the man has some serious problem with visual aids. Either that or I'm just really stupid and shouldn't be a doctor.
Grrr.

Wow! I did muscle physiology three yrs ago. Try ' Human Physiology: from cells to systems' by Lauralee Sherwood. I dn't know if it's available in Australia. It is the best physiology textbook in the world (maybe not) and explains muscle physiology very well.

Agree with the Sherwood comment - much simpler than Guyton. Martini's Anatomy and Physiology text also has a good basic bit on it :)

Marieb Anatomy and Physiology is great for a solid base.

Marieb or Tortora or something similar, for sure. And look up animations on line - those helped me.
I have never yet been pimped about muscle physiology on the wards, so take heart (or maybe I should go cram it again because statistically, I'm DUE).

I'm going to have to have a bunch of sons simultaneously now. I stopped by the library tonight and picked up not one, not two but THREE!!! physiology texts. I've probably ripped an IV disk now but I feel somewhat reassured.

I grabbed the Sherwood, Tortora and Marieb. (Sounds like alcoholic drinks. Hmm.) Flicked through them on the train-- they look good! Thanks guys!
